Shona Ferguson celebrated his 48th birthday on 30 April, and his wife posted a sweet and touching tribute to him on her Instagram account.

South African actress, filmmaker and businesswoman Connie Ferguson has posted a birthday tribute to her husband Shona Ferguson on her Instagram page.

The couple got married in 2001, two months after meeting at Connie’s home, and they brought their beautiful daughter Alicia Ferguson into the world in 2002.

Shona and Connie launched their production company Ferguson Films in 2010, soon after producing South African favourite’s such as Rockville, iGazi, The Gift, The Throne, The Herd, The Queen, The River and The Imposter.

Shona celebrated his 48th birthday on 30 April, and his wife posted a sweet and touching tribute to him on her Instagram account.

The birthday message reads: “Lord, I just want to say THANK YOU for my husband, my best friend, my soul mate, my baby daddy, my partner in EVERYTHING! He doesn’t like clothes but that’s okay! As long as he is decent in public.

“Happy birthday my SKAT! I love you more than I could ever be able to express to you in words! Thank you for always being there! God bless you beyond your wildest dreams.”

Connie then soon after shared a video on her Instagram page of the production team of their popular Mzansi Magic show, The Queen, singing the traditional happy birthday song for Shona.

Connie captioned the post: “Wa ratiwa Mr. Sho! Happy MY LOVE. From all of us at The Queen.”

Shona responded to the post with a comment, thanking the team for their warm wishes: “Crew love. Man. Thank you FAM.”

Shona Ferguson has taken to social media to remember his late father, Peter Hary Ferguson. Taking to social media, Shona shared an old picture of his father along with some touching words.

“Pastor Peter Harry Ferguson AKA JACKSON. You’ve been gone 2 years today but it feels like yesterday. Not a day goes by that I don’t remember your words of wisdom. I feel your presence in the work I do & I’ve always said I want to be as fearless as you were. I’m getting there timer. I’m going for it with all my heart, putting GOD first. I know you are rooting for your children in heaven ”

Shona let his father know that he raised him right and that he lives every day to make him proud.

“You raised a KING fa. I’m going to make you proud. Miss you always. #MyDadMyHero #SuperDad #RIP”

Losing his father was one of the most defining moments in Shona’s life, he misses him every day. It has been two years since he passed and Shona will never forget the great man that he was.

Shona Ferguson ain’t here for ‘toxic’ gossipers

Actor and producer Shona Ferguson has issued a stern public service announcement to those who like a good gossip sesh, warning that it will hurt their relationships and career.

Taking to Instagram this week, Shona shot off a lengthy sermon about the evils of spreading “lousy news”.

“Gossiping is toxic and harmful. Spreading lousy news and gossiping will only hurt your career,” he wrote.

He told his followers that they would encounter “a lot of people who are full of frustration, anger and disappointment and as soon as their negativity keeps on mounting, they look for a place to dump it”.

“If you let them, they’ll dump it on you. So stay away from such kind of negative people,” he added.

He also shot off a warning to gossipers, telling them to stop before someone gets hurt.
